My name is Morgan Lombardi and I am a fourth-year Public Relations student in Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia eager to learn more about the industry.
Hi! My name is Morgan and I am a Public Relations major with a Communication Studies minor and New Media Certificate. My academic studies and job experience have prepared me to step into a role and provide the best work I can.
Notably, my public relations coursework has given me hands-on experience in drafting press releases and pitches for a client, and refining and building upon my work through professor feedback. In Spring 2024, I developed a portfolio for a chosen client where I curated a client outline, press release, traditional and digital media pitch, media list and a tailored social media plan.
In addition to my academic studies, I also work as a Team Lead at Tech Lending at the Miller Learning Center on UGA’s campus. This role has provided me with experience in managing multiple tasks, training new employees, interviewing prospective team members and guiding others to success. Additionally, I was just awarded the position of Director of Member Relations on UGA PRSSA’s executive board for the 2024-2025 school year. I am looking forward to recruiting new members and providing them with the same enlightening experience I have had in the club.
I am dedicated to bringing my all into the PR world and want to make an impact on the industry. I value diversity, creativity and integrity in my work and will serve my clients to the absolute best of my ability. My experience in academics, customer service and leadership has prepared me to step into this fast-paced profession.
My coursework includes classes in Graphic Communication, Public Relations Communications, Web Development, Reporting and Writing, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication in Close Relationships, Empirical Research Methods, Macroeconomics and Marketing.
